Everyone of these pictures and every story told within this blog, are straight from my heart. I am in an exciting time in my life where I finally see that there are no coincidences....and I don't believe that it is by chance that you are reading this. This new chapter of my blog is called Living Life Beyond.  Beyond can have many different meanings. There is just something about that person that I photographing, that inspires me. After the story unfolds, it is evident to me of how they are living beyond. They inspire me...YOU inspire me!

First Class

The girls

What a weekend! As I left the house on the second day of the class to mentor my friend, Amanda, I told Jake, “I have to go to work now. I have to go hang out with two incredible women and combine creative forces. (All said in a Eyor voice for sarcasm) I am going to go do a really fun shoot, teach, and have a blast…be back later.” What a job! Amy and I had our Aspire class on Saturday and we had 3 of the most perfect attendees attend. Thank you Erika, Andrea and Amanda for being so open and for sharing in a passion that I hope will continue to grow throughout your whole life. I know I was suppose to be teaching (and boy did I do a lot of talking…I mean, teaching;), but I learned so much! I could get used to this whole teaching thing. There is nothing more gratifying than watching “A-Ha” moments and faces light up with each grain of confidence gained. I want to thank Amy again for being my catalyst. What a joy to share this experience with you. Thank you also for the most amazing chili (recipe from our friend Robyn). Oh, and you were the perfect model for the day as well;) JN1D7608

I was so happy to capture the joy that each of us was able to experience. Amy and I created a safe place to learn and we all fed each other bravery as we learned something new. As we all know, it’s not easy to break out of our comfort zone and try something new. I couldn’t think of a more useful skill to bring into one’s life. These women are embarking on a journey of sharpening their skills as a photographer using one of the most important tools ever gifted to them. Together with bravery, patience, openness, and a desire I hope that they are all able to feed their souls and capture images for generations to come to know exactly who they were and how they saw life. Thank you also to Jake and the kids. You may not ever know how much it means to me that you all support this journey in photography. I love you for loving me! I will also post some pictures from the mentoring session with Amanda on the second day. We were able to capture a uber-talented, creative soul by the name of Karilyn.
